HBO to re-air "The Greatest Silence: Rape in the Congo"
HBO will be airing an encore presentation of Lisa Jackson's "The Greatest Silence: Rape in the Congo" in response to the escalation of violence in the east. This will be a great opportunity to invite your friends over to watch the film and collect signatures on the petition to President-elect Obama, just like what Robin Wright Penn did last week (see below for more info).

Robin Wright Penn Hosts House Screening of "The Greatest Silence"
Last week, RAISE Hope for Congo spokesperson Robin Wright Penn
hosted a house screening of "The Greatest Silence" in Los Angeles,
which was attended by actress Maria Bello and writer/director Erin
Dignam, among others. "I wanted to host a house screening of 'The
Greatest Silence' because I know what a powerful impact film can have
on people," said Robin. "We were all so incredibly moved by the stories
of the women profiled in the film, and we had such a dynamic discussion
afterward about what each of us can do to get involved and make a
difference."
Attendees discussed the film afterward, signed the petition
to President-elect Obama, and talked about ways that they can each
become activists for the RAISE Hope for Congo campaign. Jessica Carla
de Lima-Moran, a Capoeira instructor, attended the house screening and
was so inspired that she has already started planning multiple
screenings at Capoeira centers across the country and has enlisted
dozens of friends to each collect 200 signatures on the petition. "It
wasn't the first I had heard about the conflict in the Congo, but the
images, voices, and brutal facts uncovered by the courageous filmmaker
truly marked me. I felt it was absolutely necessary for me to do
something," said Jessica.
Visit the RAISE Hope for Congo website for more information about
how you can host a house screening of "The Greatest Silence," and join
the movement.
